The Philadelphia Art Alliance brings us the works of 5 Philadelphia Artists for its Summer Art Show; featuring the works of Kiff Slemmons, Kip Deeds, Jessica Doyle, Emily Royer, and Carol McHarg (satelite location at the Rittenhouse Hotel 210 W. Rittenhouse Sq 3rd Floor.) Each artist has an entire gallery dedicated to their work and the shows content varies in subject matter. "Towards a 49th State" is Kip Deeds retrospective of Alaska and its process of becoming the 49th state. While Carol McHarg has created "Design Against Nature" which discusses the various philosophies of development and the relationship between humans and nature, specifically in regard towards design. The shows run through August 23rd.
